Debian Sid is now a Gtk 3.12 place, and I believe Fedora 21 will be when released. GtkD states it is 3.10 compliant so there is no problem per se. However I think there are some new things in 3.12 compared to 3.10 which are worth having.

Getting 3.12 ready will take longer because of some changes to the GTK+
documentation that was used as a basis. A generator that uses the
GObject Introspection (gir) files is being worked on.
