On Ubuntu 15.10 vte library is libvte-2.91. Gtkd looks for libvte2.91 (notice the dash). Don't know if this varies by distribution. The library name is found in gtkc/paths.d and wrap/paths.d. Easy enough to change the name.

Well this is embarrassing, i already changed it incorrectly 2 times.
